PLAYA DE PANTIN, Valdoviño / Galicia – Spain (Thursday, September 5, 2019) – A fifth day of action has been called ON at the World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series (QS) 10,000 ABANCA Galicia Classic Surf Pro. Waves in the three-to-four foot range break around the high tide mark this morning and conditions should continue to improve throughout the day.
“The swell has filled in overnight so we’re going to start right away, finish this round and continue with the Round 5,” Rob Gunning, European Tour Manager stated. “It’s high tide at the moment and the wind’s a little bit onshore but it’s going to switch more cross-offshore throughout the day so we should have really fun waves this afternoon.”
Stop No. 9 on the World Surf League (WSL) European Qualifying Series (QS), the ABANCA Galicia Classic Surf Pro crowned its women’s winner yesterday and witnessed an epic finals day with the rise of unknown Japanese ripper Amuro Tsuzuki (JPN). The men’s waiting period extends until Saturday, September 7.
Up first in the water will be Heat 23 of men’s Round 2 featuring Carlos Munoz (CRI), Krystian Kymerson (BRA), Nomme Mignot (FRA) and Matheus Navarro (BRA).
