Back in their early days, you could buy your Vans at family owned shops in California. While local skateboard shops are cool for a lot of reasons, one of the coolest things about early Vans shops was that you could pop in and replace your broken shoe with a new one – in any colorway you wanted. These mix and max solutions reflected a different time in skateboarding and different way of doing business.
Vans latest offering is a nod to these simpler and more creative times. These new shoes provide a contemporary re-imagining of this mix and match style. This includes three silhouettes: the Era, The Style 36, and the Slip-on.
The collection retails for $60 to $65 (USD) and some models are only available at select stores. Check out the entire collection is on the Vans website.
